We love sharing a good story with a friend, so we sell Sniplits' stories DRM-free. Once you've bought and downloaded a story, it's yours to listen to on however many gadgets you like. It also means you can share that story with up to 10 friends.
Sniplits' stories are copyrighted works, however, and you may not upload them to any personal, community or business website, blog or on-line community. You may add a link to the story at Sniplits from your page, blog or website if you like. For the details on how you may use and distribute a story, see Sniplits Terms of Use.

Specifically, we're about audio short stories that can be downloaded to virtually any device capable of playing digital music. Sniplits stories are published without any digital rights management (DRM) technology which might restrict your ability to play the story on any device, so you don't need to worry about compatibility.
Why short stories?Unlike audiobooks that can take hours to finish, these stories take just a snip of time. They are the perfect pack-and-go entertainment for just about any pause in your day. A 10-minute story might be just what you need for a coffee break, while a two-minute story might make that wait in line at the bank's drive through a little easier to take. How about a 20-minute story for your lunch break, or a 40-minute story to get you through your dental appointment?
They may be brief, but these little stories are jam-packed with rich characters, tension, hope, redemption, fear, folly, love and various punches to the heart, mind and gut. Some offer a brief escape, while others will linger in your thoughts long after the audio ends.
Story lovers and Story Tellers
Each week, Sniplits offers members a free story of
the week and the opportunity to get to know new authors. Members can get to know authors better
on our Author Fan Clubs. Soon, we'll be launching a community
where members will be able to discuss stories and genres with other members, create their own chat groups,
and even post their own stories. But for now, you will find us on the Sniplits page at Facebook.
How it Works
To use Sniplits, we recommend first becoming a member. Membership is free and it allows you access to Author Fan Pages and a free story each week. To purchase and download a story:
1) If you are a member, be sure to login before you buy a story because that way the story will be saved to your library (on your "My Sniplits" page) and you can download it as often as you wish. NOTE: If you do not login before buying a story, you will only be able to download it once - and only at the time of purchase.
2) Search stories by type (e.g. mystery, fantasy, etc.), by the amount of time it takes to listen to a story, by author and by story title. Click on "sample" to hear about 30 seconds of the story.
3) To buy a story, click on "add to cart"
4) When you have finished shopping, either click on the "Buy Now" button to pay with a credit card or PayPal, OR, if you have a gift certificate, type the code number into the box on the right.
5) IF YOU ARE PAYING WITH A CREDIT CARD OR PAYPAL: After you have finished entering the transaction information you MUST click on "Return to Sniplits to Download Story." If you do not, you will not be able to download the story.
6) Once you click on the Return to Sniplits button, you will be taken to a page where you can click on the "download" button to begin the process. The story will automatically work with your default music manager software (such as iTunes) and will save the story to your music library. You can then listen to it on your computer or add it to your MP3 player, smartphone or any other device just as you would add a song.
