When not on ten wooded acres near Austin, Texas, Camille Alexa lives in Portland, Oregon with a man and a dog in an Edwardian house painted a hundred shades of white. Her short stories and poems appear in Fantasy Magazine, make/shift, Escape Pod, and various anthologies. Her collection, Push of the Sky, received a starred review in Publishers Weekly and was shortlisted for the 2010 Endeavour Award for best new book by a Pacific Northwest author. She prefers her humor dark and her horror funny.
