How it Works
Downloading stories to listen to on your mobile phone, e-reader, MP3 player, or computer is a snap. To purchase and download an audio story, simply:
Step 1: Shop for audio stories
We offer many ways to search for stories, including:
- Author
- Genre
- Story Title
- Length (minutes)
- Fan Clubs with author info and news
- Click on “sample” to hear about 30 seconds of a story
- To buy a story, click on "add to cart"
- When you have finished shopping, click on the shopping cart icon in the top right corner of the page
Step 2: Buy audio stories
- Sign in or create a login ID and password (doing so creates a library of your stories so that you can download them whenever you like and to multiple devices)
- To pay with a gift certificate or promotion coupon, type the code number in the appropriate box to the right of your order, and click “Go”
- To purchase with a credit card or PayPal, click the “Buy Now” button
- PayPal securely processes our credit card and PayPal payments, so you will be briefly transferred to PayPal to complete your purchase
- ESSENTIAL: After you have finished entering the transaction information, you must click on “RETURN TO SNIPLITS.” If you do not, PayPal will charge your account but you will not be able to download the story
Step 3: Download & listen to your stories
- When you click on “Return to Sniplits”, you will be taken to a page where you can begin the download
- You can listen to the story immediately, or save it to your computer and add it to your music/audiobook library (e.g. iTunes or RealPlayer) just as you would add a song/audiobook—then just synch your device
- If your computer doesn’t automatically ask if you want to save the story, try right-clicking on the download link and choose “save as”
- You can download the story again at any time just by clicking on the title of the story in your library
Your My Sniplits Page
When you create a login ID, you also create your own My Sniplits page. On this page you can:
- Download any story you’ve previously purchased
- Review a story—just click on whichever star (next to the title) you think appropriate (1-star you hate it, 5-stars you love it) and it will pull up a box where you can add a short review
- Register a gift certificate and we’ll keep track of the balance for you. (This is a great way to set up an “account balance” so that you don't need to go through the PayPal process every time you buy a story)
- Change your account settings
