Jennifer Gennari is a writer, editor, and activist. She is a former journalist, and she writes a monthly book review column for her local newspaper. Her poems have appeared in Marin Poetry Center Anthology, GlassFire Magazine, and the Poetry Farmers Almanac. Her middle grade novel, Wild Pie, has been accepted by Houghton Mifflin for publication in 2012.


A native of New England, she now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and works for Greenbelt Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting open space and promoting vibrant urban places. Jennifer loves to swim and kayak. She's a graduate of Vassar College, the University of Vermont, and the Vermont College MFA program.
