Kevin Anderson has published sixty stories or so in publications such as Dark Animus, Darkness Rising, Darkness Benign, Dark Wisdom, and, well, a lot of markets with the word "Dark" in the title, which is kind of misleading because he's a happy, light-hearted kind of person, who lives with his family in sunny southern California. His favorite holiday is Halloween though, so much so that he got married on all-hallows eve. He's a father of two and a marketing professional, writing award-winning copy for T.V. and radio.
In 2004, Kevin won first place with his storyThird Shift in the Top International Horror Contest, held by Rain Fall Books. The story was produced as an audio drama by Pendant Productions in 2008. He's also received Honorable Mentions in books like, The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror. In the past couple of years, a number of his stories were produced as audio stories and podcasts, by sniplits, Drabblecast, Pseudopod, and Well Told Tales. Another is due to be published by Dunesteef Audio Fiction.
Kevin is currently shopping around a YA horror novel, a short story collection, and he's writing a novella.

Q: Do you prefer writing short stories or other forms of writing? Always interested in fellow Sniplits authors' opinions. Tom Anselm
K.A.: I enjoy several different other forms, Novels, Essays (Op-Ed), Audio Drama and Comic Scripts, Flash Fiction, and currently, I'm just finishing the first draft of a novella. Although I enjoy all kinds of writing I am having more success selling short stories. I hope that luck changes and I'll sell a novel or novella in the very near future. Thank you for the question.
